About the role

At InSpace, we are building NOVA: AI software that helps companies stay visible in a world where discovery increasingly happens via LLMs and AI platforms. Our ambition is a platform that independently develops strategies, creates content, performs technical optimizations, publishes to CMS systems, and continuously adjusts based on data.

That’s why we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to take our client-facing applications to the next level. You will lead the full redesign of both our internal application, InSpace Hub, and our external client app, NOVA App. You understand user needs, turn abstract product questions into concrete solutions, and translate complex logic into clear, usable, and distinctive UX. This aligns with how the Product Designer role is defined at NOVA: sharp on user understanding, flows, usability, tangible directions, and experience quality.

We are specifically looking for someone with lead-level skills. This means: not just strong execution, but also providing direction on design quality, standards, and collaboration, while simultaneously helping a junior product designer grow through coaching, feedback, and substantive guidance.

This isn’t a role for someone who “just makes screens.” We want someone who strengthens our shaping process, identifies friction early, keeps designs buildable, and works with product and engineering to ensure great ideas actually land well in the product.

What you will do

You are responsible for strengthening UX, design quality, and design maturity within our products.

🧭 Redesign & UX Direction

• Lead the redesign of the InSpace Hub and NOVA App.

• Research the biggest user needs, frictions, and opportunities.

• Translate complex product and domain logic into clear flows, screens, interactions, and states.

• Ensure our products are not just functional, but also intuitive, fast to adopt, and distinctive in experience.

🧩 Shaping & Product Quality

• Actively contribute to shaping by making abstract issues concrete and discussable quickly.

• Make user friction, ambiguity, edge cases, and trade-offs visible early on.

• Sharpen product choices based on user value, clarity, and buildability.

• Help ensure strong ideas don’t fail due to lack of clarity or poor adoption.

🤝 Collaboration with Product, Engineering & Experts

• Work closely with product and engineering during both shaping and build phases.

• Translate design choices into flows, exceptions, and interaction patterns that allow development to build fast and effectively.

• Collaborate with domain experts to make specialized logic understandable in the UX.

🎯 Design Quality, Consistency & Standards

• Set the direction for design quality, consistency, and interaction patterns within NOVA and InSpace Hub.

• Help establish design standards and workflows that support both speed and quality.

• Balance pragmatic shipping with a clear, high-quality product experience.

👥 Coaching & Leadership

• Provide substantive guidance to the junior product designer and help them grow.

• Give feedback on quality, choices, and output.

• Help further professionalize the design craft within InSpace.

🤖 AI-assisted Design

• Smartly use AI and relevant tooling to accelerate research, exploration, iteration, and documentation.

• Reach strong concepts and design choices faster without losing sharpness or quality.

• Use AI as an accelerator, not as a replacement for product judgment.

Who you likely are

We are looking for seniority in craft, product thinking, and collaboration. You are likely a good match if you:

• Have several years of experience as a Product Designer in digital products or SaaS.

• Are strong in UX, interaction design, flows, states, and usability.

• Can quickly make abstract product questions concrete and buildable.

• Have a strong sense of where users experience friction and how to solve it product-wise.

• Collaborate strongly with product and engineering to reduce ambiguity.

• Approach design pragmatically: sharp where necessary, lean where possible.

• Can lead a redesign not just visually, but strategically and UX-wise.

• Can coach junior designers and provide substantive direction.

• Can develop standards for design quality, consistency, and collaboration.

• Use (or want to use) AI tooling smartly to work faster and sharper.

Bonus points

• Experience with redesigns of complex B2B or SaaS products.

• Experience with design systems or component-based design.

• Experience in a team where shaping, discovery, and delivery are tightly integrated.

• Experience with AI-native products, workflow products, or data-driven applications.

What success looks like (First 90 Days)

• After 30 days: You understand the core user flows, bottlenecks, and UX challenges within InSpace Hub and NOVA App. You see how shaping, product, and engineering currently work together.

• After 60 days: You have actively contributed to sharp new flows or redesign directions. You’ve helped the junior designer grow noticeably in quality and sharpness.

• After 90 days: You are a guiding voice in how design contributes to shaping and delivery. There is a clear design direction for the redesigns, and you’ve improved design maturity and consistency.
