Senior Software Engineer — AI Workflows & Platform

Job Description

At InSpace, we’re building NOVA: AI software that helps companies stay visible in a world where discovery increasingly happens through LLMs and AI platforms.

Our ambition is to build a platform that can autonomously:

  • develop SEO / GEO strategies
  • create content
  • execute technical optimizations
  • publish to CMS platforms
  • continuously improve based on data

That’s why we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who takes ownership and helps make our platform technically stronger.

We’re specifically looking for someone who finds AI interesting not only in the product, but also in the way software is built. Someone who works hands-on with tools like Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI coding tools, and actively explores how AI is fundamentally changing software development.

We’re not looking for someone who just closes tickets. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building product, workflows, integrations, and reliability — while also helping define how a modern engineering team can ship faster, smarter, and with higher quality.

What you’ll do

🏗 Product & platform development

  • Design and build core product functionality
  • Work on scalable workflows and services within our platform
  • Contribute to technical decisions and pragmatic solutions

🔗 Orchestration

  • Integrate APIs, internal services, and AI/LLM models
  • Orchestrate complex workflows across different systems
  • Work on event-driven and workflow-based solutions

⚡ Reliability & performance

  • Optimize latency, cost, and scalability
  • Improve monitoring, retries, and idempotency
  • Build software that remains stable in production under growing load

🔒 Quality & engineering

  • Contribute to testing, CI/CD, and release quality
  • Do code reviews and help improve engineering best practices
  • Work secure-by-default in the way you design and implement

🤖 AI-assisted development

  • Actively use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tooling in your daily development workflow
  • Experiment with smarter ways of building, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documenting
  • Introduce new development patterns that improve both your own productivity and the team’s
  • Help build an engineering culture where AI-native development is second nature
  • Actively explore which AI workflows create real value — and which ones are mostly noise

🤝 Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, engineering, and Customer Success
  • Translate product questions into robust technical solutions
  • Take ownership of features and improvements from design through production

Who you probably are

We’re looking for someone with seniority in both execution and thinking, with a strong bias toward building and shipping.

You’re likely a strong match if you:

  • have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • are strong in the fundamentals: clean code, testing, CI/CD, maintainability
  • have experience with system design and technical trade-offs
  • have operated software in production and been through incidents
  • take ownership and can solve complex problems independently
  • have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tooling
  • believe software development will be fundamentally changed by AI in the coming years
  • actively explore how to make both yourself and your team more productive with better tooling and workflows
  • use AI not only for speed, but also for quality, testing, documentation, and better delivery
  • enjoy working in an environment where experimentation, learning, and shipping are central
  • have experience with, or a strong interest in, LLMs in production (latency, cost, evals, guardrails)

Bonus points

  • experience with workflow automation (for example n8n, Zapier, Make)
  • experience with integration platforms
  • experience with martech or SEO tooling
  • experience in a product team where both speed and quality matter

What we offer

  • 🚀 A key role in a fast-growing AI-driven SaaS company with international ambitions
  • 💡 A lot of influence over how we continue to build product, workflows, and platform
  • 🤝 A team that loves speed, technology, and building
  • 🏢 An office in Eindhoven
  • 🎉 Team outings and an energetic work environment

What success looks like (first 90 days)

After 30 days

  • You understand the architecture, core workflows, and biggest bottlenecks
  • You’ve shipped your first improvements in reliability or product functionality
  • You understand how we currently build and can already see where AI-assisted workflows can create immediate leverage

After 60 days

  • You independently lead a feature or platform improvement from design to production
  • Monitoring and release processes are a natural part of your delivery
  • You’ve introduced new ways of working or tooling that noticeably speed up or improve development

After 90 days

  • You own an important part of the platform or product
  • You visibly contribute to engineering quality, speed, and reliability
  • You are a strong sparring partner for other engineers
  • You actively help shape what an AI-native engineering team looks like at InSpace
