Free Cluster Share checker

Enter a keyword, a domain and a country. We map the search market around that keyword, estimate the traffic the domain captures from it, and give you its market share.

Measure a market

The main keyword defines the market, the domain is who you measure. Your own site, a prospect or a competitor.

Free check, no login

Live search data. A check takes a few seconds; nothing is stored about you.

What the free check measures

One keyword is not a market. A cluster is.

Nobody buys from a single search. A market is the whole family of searches around one topic, and your share of it is what actually predicts revenue. That is what this check puts a number on.

The cluster

The strongest keywords that belong to your main keyword, up to forty of them, straight from live search data for the country you pick.

The demand

Every keyword comes with its monthly search volume. Added up, that is the size of the market you are measuring, in searches per month.

The traffic

For each keyword we check where the domain ranks and estimate the visits that position earns, based on how people really click on results.

The share

Estimated traffic divided by total demand: the slice of the whole market this domain owns today, and the number to grow.

Why market share beats rankings

Positions flatter. Share does not.

A ranking report can look great while the business number is tiny: first place on three small keywords and invisible on the forty that carry the demand. Cluster Share weighs every position by how often people actually search, so one number tells you what all those rankings amount to.

It also makes competition honest. Run the same market for your own domain and for the competitor you keep losing to, and the two percentages show you the gap and where it comes from.

And it points at the fix. The gap list below your score shows the keywords with real volume where the domain is not on page one. That list is the growth sitting on the table.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Cluster Share

What is a Cluster Share?

The market share of one website inside one search market. We collect the keywords that belong to your main keyword, add up how often they are searched each month, estimate how many of those searches end up on the domain you entered, and express that as a percentage.

Where does the data come from?

Search volumes and ranking positions come from Ahrefs, the same industry data we use for client work. Traffic per keyword is their estimate based on the position the domain holds and how people actually click on results.

Why is the percentage so low?

Because most searches never reach any single site. Even ranking first for every keyword in the cluster captures roughly a quarter of all searches; the rest click other results or do not click at all. That is why we also show your share of that realistic ceiling.

Which keywords make up the cluster?

The strongest keywords that contain or extend your main keyword, ordered by search volume, up to forty of them. A broad head term like "running shoes" gives a broad market; a specific term like "trail running shoes women" gives a narrow one. Both are valid, they just measure different markets.

Can I measure a competitor?

Yes. Enter any domain you like: your own site, a prospect or a competitor. Comparing two runs with the same keyword and country shows you exactly who owns the market and how far apart you are.

What should I do with the result?

Look at the gaps: keywords with real volume where the domain is not on page one. That list is the growth that is sitting on the table, and it is exactly what a structured SEO program goes after first.
